  • Reporting on the Renaissance ...

    [...] "Renaissance" Magazine's current issue is devoted to classical painting. One article is on the development of oil painting (not invention) and perspective during the Renaissance, another is on Renaissance era woman portrait artist Sofonisba Anguissola. I just bought the magazine and have only skimmed the article but they look good. The great thing about this is that this magazine is popular with the college crowd and many will be introduced to classical art and craftsmanship by these articles. This strengthens my contention that realistic art is making its way into popular magazines more and more often.
