Again, this is a portrait of my youngest daughter, Marilyn. Because we had entered the Aquarius era, I wanted to do a painting with the theme. At that time, with the ending of the Maya calendar, there were many predictions about floods and the world coming to an end. Since I am not one to believe in these doom scenario's and always try to give a positive twist to my stories, I painted her floating on the water, without a care in the world. You can see in her face that there are some troubling thoughts on her mind, but these are troublesome times, so who can blame her? The main story is that there is always hope and we can feel secure that things will work out in the end, if we trust and believe that they will.
