"Calligraphic shapes interwoven with figurative elements seem to be a common motif among my works. The organic flowing curvilinear shapes depict neural webs and labyrinths of the mind. This interlacing can be thought of as the choices or paths of the subject. It can also be thought of a thread of connection or as a binding that shackles them to some unknown pull. These organic abstractions allude to hypnotic suggestibility, nervous palpitations and dream states.

Bloom is a drawing of an artist, Rochelle Tasca, shaping the world around her into a state of beauty by choosing to see her surroundings as rhythms of shapes. This choice makes her aware of all the beauty that constantly surrounds her, transforming her everyday existence into a form of art. The silver leaf acts as a reminder of this transitory state by being ever-changing in the light." - JASON BRADY
