The motif is of a virgin forest that has existed without human intervention in my hometown, Oita, Japan, since ancient times. This work depicts dusk during the season when the feeling of autumn begins to slowly creep in and touches your inner being. Not just a drawing with superficial techniques, but an imaginary scene which conveys reflections of my time there, such as the smell of the soil and the breeze I felt. We human beings have received many benefits from nature. I think we need to be humble with respect to nature.
