My knowledge of anatomy helped me to accurately portray “Ma Cherie” with sensitivity and care in the details. I have chosen to isolate her from her herd and paint her as a solitary individual hurrying to isolate herself from the darkness of the summer prairie storm threatening to overtake her. Her spirit carries her forward.
