“This artwork speaks about the continuous cycle of life, death, and rebirth, in reference to mental, emotional and spiritual dimensions of self. The female figure: Mater Familias (the mother of the family, the matriarch) represents the feminine creative power. The Earth that gives birth to a new self, to a new consciousness, a new perception and a new reality, she creates the new beginnings (Novis Initiis). She represents humanity in a process of constant growth and transformation that in time shapes a sacred circle of self-realization, where the end becomes a beginning and the beginning becomes the end, again and again. Her multiple arms represent different versions of the new self, sort of parallel universe that together comprise the totality of her being, as well as the dragonfly's wings in movement, a symbol of change.” – Kasia Uminska
