I came to practising art relatively late in life. After a career as a research scientist in particle physics, and later on in business, I started sculpting in earnest in 2015. I participated in dozens of workshops in sculpture and drawing. Workshops given mainly, but not exclusively, by the Florence Academy of Art, or by former teachers / students of the FAA. I mainly focus on portraiture, and am interested in representing people underrepresented in the history of portrait sculpture, e.g., ethnic minorities, homeless people, etc. I sculpt fully from life. Since 3 years I participate in the annual exhibition of the Society of Portrait Sculptors in London, and received twice a "commended" for my submission.
