I was born in 1967 and I am an artist living and working in Sacramento, California. I work primarily with charcoal, in a style and process that is unique to me. I work in large scale. I have a B.A. in Fine Art is from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and I received my M.A from California State University, Sacramento. In addition to creating my own work, I am a full time high school art teacher at a continuation high school. My work is reflective of my life, my interests and my family. I often use my two daughters as the subjects of my art. I also am interested in and influenced by myth, the past and the natural world ( i collect and draw animal skins and bones, vintage clothing and antique furniture). My work is a sort of diary, a glimpse into my private life and the created private life of the subjects in my drawings.
