Beth London

United States

Beth London is an East Coast Artist whose work thoughtfully resides in the boundary between fresh and timeless.  She is a native of New York and has been blessed to spend her most recent years in beautiful rural Liberty, Maine.  Andrew Wyeth is among her formative influences as an artist, as was his father, NC Wyeth.

Beth's artistic training has encompassed both formal class room programs and diligent self education.  Years of study under a master painter in Maine, who himself had studied under Nelson Shanks and Andrew Wyeth, yielded rich insights into the artistic process as well as a grasp of classical painting techniques.  When this time of intensive beginnings drew to a conclusion, Beth moved forward to continue her studies on her own seeking knowledge and inspiration from the best master painters of today and the past.

Beth paints in oils for the most part with minor forays into watercolor for variety and freshness.  She has been pleased to show her work with the Kelpie Gallery in Thomaston, Maine.  She has also had paintings included in local, group shows.  She was honored to have one of her paintings chosen as a finalist in the Art Renewal Center's annual Salon competition.  Her work is held in private collections around the country.

Beth's goal as an artist is to create a visual space where viewer's thoughts are invited to roam through a world of mystery, nature, memory and dream.  She is eagerly looking forward to bringing new visions to life on the canvas and sharing them.
