The Indianapolis Museum of Art’s collection of watercolors by Turner and his contemporaries was founded more than a century ago. Its wide renown, however, is due to the singular efforts of Kurt F. Pantzer (1892–1979), an Indianapolis attorney, who was devoted to all things related to Turner. Selections from the collection are exhibited each spring and summer in this gallery.
The exhibition takes place at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, 4000 N Michigan Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46208 and ends on August 21, 2017.

Alma Tadema Exhibition
Alma-Tadema: At Home in Antiquity explores Lawrence Alma-Tadema’s fascination with the representation of domestic life in antiquity. Born in the north of the Netherlands, the exhibition traces his early training and move to London in 1870 where he established a hugely successful career at the heart of the artistic establishment. His work fixed ideas in the popular imagination of what life in the ancient past might have looked like – ideas and images that were taken to the stage, film and that remain with us today. The exhibition includes important works by Tadema himself, his wife Laura and daughter Anna with loans coming from public and private collections internationally.
In conjunction with this exhibition are workshops led by Ann Witheridge, director of the ARC Approved™ London Fine Art Studio. To learn more about these programs, please click here.

The exhibition takes place at the Leighton House Museum-12 Holland Park Road, London W14 8LZ and runs from July 7 – October 29, 2017.

New ARC Living Artist
ARC is pleased to welcome Alain Amar as our newest ARC Living Artist™.
“A dreamlike and spiritual artist, he has a sincere and idealistic desire to offer through his artworks: peace, serenity, joy, dreams, passion, poetry, love of beauty, balance and harmony. He studied the art of painting according to the spirit and techniques of the Renaissance. Painting in different layers of colors, each coat is left to dry before the next is added, leaving the artist-monk long intervals to spend in meditation.”
