Rouen, Feb.4, 1853

Dear Sir,
Please accept my apologies for not replying earlier to the letter you were kind enough to send me. I was away from Rouen for a fortnight and was very busy in Paris since I am in the process of buying a small house in the capital where I intend to settle soon.
When I came back here, I found the three exemplaries of your vocabulary that you sent me. I thank you first for remembering me, since we are seeing each other so seldom [rarely] that I owe entirely to our dear Saint Vincent the rememberance that you are kind ebough to send to your best friend.

I shall immediately remit to our librarian M. Pottier the exemplary that is due to him. As for M. Formeron[?] he is no more in Rouen. I don't know in which town he was appointed. As soon as I shall be informed, I shall see how I can manage to send your gift to him.
He might be in Paris though, as soon as I have ascertained this matter, I shall inform you of what I did.
Please agree, Sir, with my renewed thanks, the insurance of my best devoted wishes.

H. Bellange
