Dear Mr. Jenkins,

Mrs. Lehmann hands me your note. We posses such a book as you describe. It is rather a joke, all unsuccessful attempts to draw a pig with closed eyes, by eminent artists; all failures. They are certainly unfit for publication – even of mentioning.

If never the less if your friend wishes to see them, he will be welcome here tomorrow, Friday or next Monday at 5 o’clock.

Mrs. Bedford has been staying with us lately – She is quite well again and has gone back to her home in Pinner.

  Believe me

      Dear Mr. Jenkins

             Yours sincerely
