Figure Drawing Immersion

05 August, 2019 to 08 August, 2019

USD 599

Studio Incamminati, School for Contemporary Realist Art
340 North 12th Street, Suite 500, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19107

This immersive experience is centered on daily demonstrations, hands-on practice and conversations on art. A special focus is on form drawing, studying how light and shade are used to create volume. Students will learn how to start a drawing by focusing on the design and movement. They will develop more precision through a careful block-in drawing and finding shadow shapes. Students also focus on:
• Form: Exploring half-tones through tonal rendering
• One day devoted to working on toned paper and heightened with white.

This workshop is for students of all skill levels from people — those just starting through to advanced. We have group discussions and demonstrations daily. Students leave with a clear understanding of the elements of drawing and how to improve their work.
