Alamà depicts some of the milestones of contemporary reality, which suffers from being too modern, thirsting for models, aesthetic prescriptions and behavior. "I present my main characters as the inaccessible heroes of a contemporary era. In a society in which trends and fashions are the crests of an uncertain and turbulent path, it is the characters who stand as constants, as new kings and relative leaders of a society hungry for patrons, voracious consumers of images already eager to live in the tomorrow, while still clinging on to the presumed banners of today. Footballers, pop singers, heartfelt street people, and fashion victims are in charge of preaching the current trend to be followed. Hamelín keeps on playing, and there is a party in the river.”
