A study of the egret in nature, with the intent to describe the bird as an integrated part of the landscape. Knife work primarily. Hendry's Beach in Santa Barbara.
Santa Barbara's coastline is abundant, full of beach walks, foliage and wildlife. I was intrigued by this egret's relationship with the ocean, and focused primarily on creating a focal point in this composition for this most elegant bird.
