This is a drawing of my youngest daughter, Casey, as a young woman on the edge of womanhood.  She seems unaware of her beauty, yet is fully aware of its power. She is languid and elegant, inviting the viewer into her world by literally "lifting the veil".  This work is a nod to the past. It hints at the figure leading a "bourgeois" lifestyle, filled with opportunity and boredom.
