This oil painting was created through the combination of multiple different scenes and images. The faint forest background gradually coming into focus as trees and bushes appear sharper illustrate the depth of the painting. The gray colors found within the stone stairs and the floor add on to the natural color scheme of blues and greens. The center of my painting, the Buddha statue, is actually based off a Buddha idol I found at home. The statue represents peace and tranquility be sitting there and blending in with nature. Finally, the stone archway that looms at the top of the painting wraps everything up. The arch captures the content of the painting and draws the eye toward the statue.
