This work depicts the quest for the Holy Grail. The story of King Arthur and his knights who ventured into the unknown to find this symbol of "the most precious treasure" really inspired me.

Not knowing exactly what this artifact is, or where it can be found, but being sure only of the existence of this "most valuable object", they decided to start the search from the point where the forest seemed the darkest.

I decided to represent the Holy Grail as a chalice while the hands of the knights try to reach it from the darkness. Only by conquering the frighteningly unknown, one can achieve one's ideal.
