Tears For Ukraine II by Kathleen Giles

This painting depicts the pain and sorrow of the Ukrainian people over the devastation of their country, friends and family caused by war. The prayer beads symbolize the faith many people have in God. In prayer they hope not only for brighter days but justice, not only here but in eternity. I asked a woman I knew to pose for me who is of Eastern European descent. Her family was also attacked by Russia many years ago and was honored to assist me.
