For better or worse, our experiences and travels in this life make their mark on us. Living in the Catskills, where I see deer every time I leave the house, I chose to depict this concept with a magnificent stag. While itching his antlers, he has inadvertently tangled them in weeds and debris, transforming his regal appearance into something a bit ridiculous. Instead of feeling embarrassed about this new headdress, he has chosen to stand on the mountain top and bellow about it.
