My dog, Bailey, has been in my life since before I could walk, and I had been looking to paint her but posing her never really captured her. One night, my friend Reyna stayed over and was sitting on my couch reading when Bailey jumped up beside her and went to sleep.
When I saw this, I knew I needed to paint it.
Having the opportunity to immortalize my lifelong companion and my closest friend together was magic for me.
