Luis Azon

Trained at the Port-Royal Athelier in Paris, and the School of Fine Arts of Oviedo, Spain.

Member of The Art Students League of New York since the year 2000.

The influence of the Masters of the nineteenth century is apparent in his works, making his style rather unusual in today's artistic landscape.

Three fundamental pillars support the secret of his creations: the drawing, the colour and the light. He combines them masterfully to create magical stages with a cinematographic vibe, around the world of Jazz music or the ambiance of caf├ęs.

His art has been shown in many exhibitions within Spain and abroad, having received many awards.

His works are part of many private collections around the world, mainly in the US, where he is a renowned portraitist.

Some historical paintings have been commissioned by the Royal house of Spain, such as "The baptism of Prince Felipe".

Since 1995, his name can be found in the dictionary of painters and sculptors of the twentieth century.
