John Darley

I live in American Fork Utah, with my wife Cassandra and our two boys, Jack and Jude.

I've studied and worked full time as a portrait/figure painter since 2012. I learned through apprenticeships at the Hein Atelier and Grand Central Atelier, and through continual effort as a working artist.

I am inspired by the discipline of Michelangelo, the sentimental beauty of Bouguereau, the palette & imagination of the Pre-Raphaelites, and the richness of the Western land and the people in it. I believe that art - both creating and viewing - makes us recognize what is important to us.
