I'm a painter working exclusively from life . Observing from nature -interpreting 3d nature onto 2 dimensional surface is a major part of my painting process . If any even small part of that is skipped out ,such as even touching a little from photos , I would not be able to consider that what I do or my art . To me, photos are paintings already done by machines and I don't like to use that for anything
