Nicole Troup

United States

Nicole Troup resides in Greencastle, PA, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pennsylvania College of Art and Design in Lancaster. She is currently working as a commissioned portrait artist for private and official commissions nationally. Some of her clients include WWE wrestler Titus O’Neil, doctors, local clients, and corporations.

Outside her job as a commissioned portrait artist,  she is also known for her portrait projects where she collaborates with prominent organizations and figures including celebrities, in order to raise awareness for causes that are important to her. Some of these collaborations include the Vitiligo Research Foundation, Human Trafficking organizations,  celebrities in the movie industry such as Michael Shannon, Madeline Carroll, Cassi Thomson, Erica Ash, activist model Mari Malek, the Machine Gun Preacher, WWE wrestler Titus O'Neil, and former Pennsylvania Governor, Thomas Corbett. The collaborations include an initial contact with the person to create a custom portrait of them through the sharing of ideas and photo references that evolve into a finished product. The painting and limited edition prints are sometimes autographed by the celebrity and are then offered for sale to their fans and supporters.

Troup enjoys sharing her passion for art with others and therefore works as an art instructor for children and adults in her Greencastle, PA studio and in local galleries and venues. Her teaching experience includes Montessori Academy, art instructor for the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Maryland, online and in-person portrait workshops.

Troup is a 2020 finalist in the Portrait Society of American National Members show. Her work has been showcased in national art exhibits as well as a number of local exhibitions across Maryland and Pennsylvania in such locations as the Mercersburg Academy, Mansion House Art Gallery, Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, Council for the Arts, Washington County Arts Council and the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. Her work is also in private collections throughout the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
