My dear Miss Taylor:
I am just aboard for a rather extended fishing cruise and hasten to answer your note of Sept. 1, regardng the possibility of a memorial painting to be done by me.
I am deeply interested in talking the matter over with you and even though I may not be the one elected to do it, a discussion may be of value to you and your committee.
I shall return on or about Oct. 1, and shortly after that I shall be glad to receive you at my studio.

Sincerely yours
N.C. Wyeth

Excuse pencil please - no ink within miles!
