ASMA 19th National Exhibition

Published on October 6, 2023

The American Society of Marine Artists will present its 19th National Exhibition; a traveling show comprised of the finest maritime works from around the nation.

On display are works by 113 artists who draw inspiration from water—water as a means of travel, a fragile ecosystem, a source of leisure and recreation, or pleasant scenery. The American Society of Marine Artists was founded in 1978 to preserve and promote contemporary American marine art. It came into being through the work of a small handful of representational artists and marine art enthusiasts who felt that the rich cultural heritage of marine painting was in danger of being lost. ARC Living Master Sergio Roffo will be among the exhibiting artists.

The show will be on display at the Albany Institute of History and Art, 125 Washington Ave, Albany NY 12210 from September 10 - December 31, before traveling to the Minnesota Marine Art Museum, from January 19 - May 12, 2024.
