Published September 23, 2013

Art historian Sandra de Laszlo joins ARC Aprroved Atelierâ„¢ Lavender Hill Studios to give a fascinating talk on the extraordinary career of Philip de Laszlo (1869-1937). The lecture titled, From Pests to Palaces, will take place on October 16, 2013.
Laszlo's patrons awarded him numerous honors and medals. In 1909 he was named a Member of the Royal Victorian Order by King Edward VII of the United Kingdom and in 1912 he was ennobled by King Franz Joseph of Hungary. His work is of similar quality and paint handling to the Italian artist, Giovanni Boldini, though his name not as widely known by today's audience.
