New Work Added to Live ARC Salon

Published April 3, 2017

We are pleased to announce that The Teeth of Scatha Worm by Matthew Stewart has been added to the 12th International ARC Salon Exhibition.
"The Teeth of Scatha Worm depicts a scene from the appendices of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. A legend of Rohan, the hero, Fram, has slain the dragon, Scatha the Worm. The hero makes a necklace made of the dragon's teeth to give to the dwarves who claim the hoard, along with the haughty reply 'Jewels such as these you will never match in your treasuries, for they are hard to come by.' Images of Fram and Scatha would decorate the tapestries seen by the more well known of Tolkien's characters, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli as they entered the hall of Edoras hundreds of years later. The small silver horn that Eowyn gives to Merry came from the hoard of Scatha." - Matthew Stewart
