We would like to officially welcome Jeremy Lipking as an ARC Living Master™. Jeremy Lipking has emerged as one of the country's premier realist artists. His talent, which rivals that of the late nineteenth century painterly realists such as John Singer Sargent, Joaquin Sorolla and Anders Zorn, is outstanding for a painter of any age. It is all the more remarkable since he is only thirty years old. A virtuoso artist, Lipking's canvases convey the magical aura of convincing imagery emerging out of a field of paint. ARC Approved™ TSA Instructor Publishes Book

| The Teaching Studios of Art is pleased to announce that instructor Christopher Pugliese, winner of ARC's William Bouguereau Award in the 2007 ARC Salon, has just published a 700 copy, limited edition book of Pugliese's work. It includes 120 pages and large color reproductions of some of his most ambitious figure compositions. The book was published in tandem with his retrospective at the New Britain Museum of American Art in January 2011, with foreword by Graydon Parrish. Click here to view more. |  |

We would like to officially welcome Mary Jane Q Cross as an ARC Living Artist™. Q Cross's work embraces beauty personified in primarily womanly subjects on an emotional and intimately respectful level. The models' spirits and souls are loved under her fingers. This is literal, as the artist paints with her fingers due to a severe tremor that restricts the use of brushes. The artist's career did not end but has persevered to inspire a documentary, 18 months in the making, on her career headed for PBS this summer of 2011. Da Vinci Painting Discovered

| A painting by Leonardo da Vinci that was lost for centuries has been authenticated by distinguished scholars and conservators at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the National Gallery in London. The painting, Salvator Mundi, or "Savior of the World," depicts a popularized Netherlandish suject of Christ with his right hand raised in blessing and his left hand holding a globe. The painting will be on view at The National Gallery, in a show titled Leonardo Da Vinci: A Painter at the Court of Milan Nov 9 2011 - Feb 5 2012. Click here to read the full article. |
