2011/2012 ARC Salon Catalogues Last Chance to Pre-Order
November 30, 2012
For all those who have been patiently waiting, the final ARC Salon Catalogues are due to arrive at the Art Renewal Center next week. The Salon Catalogue this year has run 200 pages and is a monument to the spectacular art being created by talented realist painters and sculptors around the world; offering the viewer high technical skill in the representation of both traditional themes as well as an explosion of new subject matter with a 21st century feel that cannot be confused with any other time period.
The 2011/2012 ARC Salon was our largest turnout yet with over 2,100 entries and over 800 artists participating. There were a large number of high quality works that did not make it into the finals. This was true even after extending the original 300+ expected finalist pieces to over 500. All 500 plus finalists are shown in this catalogue. To have become a finalist and be showcased in this catalogue is even more difficult than before and is a huge accomplishment.

New ARC Approved Atelier in Bethlehem, PA
November 28, 2012
Atelier Dualis is a small independent educational institution located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It is a novel approach to arts education combining the fine art training program developed by renowned trompe l'oeil artist, Anthony Waichulis with a supplemental career preparatory business curriculum. In addition to learning the fundamentals of painting and drawing, students will learn to market and promote themselves to further close the gap between art education and professional career. It is their goal to produce artists who are not only confident in their artistic vision and technical capabilites, but also aware of the creative power of business and equipped with the tools to shape the art world of tomorrow. | Paradigm Shift by Erin Anderson Third Place Drawing Winner 2011/2012 ARC Salon |
The school was founded in 2012 by Erin Anderson, who was a student of Anthony Waichulis and has won ARC scholarship awards in the past. She has placed well in the ARC International Salons attaining an Honorable Mention in 2010/2011 and winning third place in the Drawing Category in the 2011/2012 ARC International Salon.

Books on ARC
November 16, 2012
As of this week, we are selling fine art books on many of the most popular artists in the ARC museum. You may have already noticed that under the artist bio and above the images we have a bar for "Books and Related Products About this Artist." Many of these links will take you to Amazon.com, but through the affiliate program we have, ARC gets a small commission on books/items that are clicked to from the ARC website. So if you are planing on buying fine art books as gifts for the holidays, see if we are offering them on the artist's page in the ARC Museum first. You can still purchase through Amazon, but some funds will go to ARC. Happy shopping! |
