Kamille Corry Workshop at BACAA

 | ARC Approved™ Bay Area Classical Arts Atelier is offering a ten day workshop by Kamille Corry focusing on painting the nude figure from life. Starting with limited palette, and working up to a more extended color palette, students will be developing their painting by focusing on strong draftsmanship, building form with correct values, and honing their skills with naturalistic color application. Kamille will be painting alongside the students and giving individual critiques daily.

Glory of Venice

 | Glory of Venice features about 50 significant works, and provides visitors with a rare opportunity to experience 19 artworks from Venice’s Gallerie dell’Accademia, which houses one of the greatest collections of Venetian Renaissance art in the world. Additional masterworks on view include paintings on loan from the Scuola Grande di San Rocco in Venice, and the Fondazione Magnani Rocca in Parma, Italy, as well as signature paintings in the DAM’s collection. |

"12 By 12 In 12" Group Show

| The Arcadia Contemporary gallery is holding a group show of paintings all measuring 12 x 12 inches and created by over 30 painters from around the world. Arina Gordienko Wins Major Award

| ARCALM™ Arina Gordienko's painting, 'The Smile', has been recognized with the 2nd Place Award (out of 1830 entries from 57 countries) at the Berliner Art Prize 2016 in Germany. | The Art Renewal Center is pleased to welcome Alan Merris Bell as our newest ARC Living Artist™. Alan Merris Bell is a fine artist from Portland, Oregon. He attended the San Francisco Academy of Art and began his art career in 1971 while serving in the U.S. Army as an illustrator for Infantry Magazine. Alan retired in 2005 after 30 years of service as a Fire Fighter/Paramedic for the City of Portland and is now able to work full time on his art. The A.M.E Bale Travelling Scholarship and Art Prize are awarded to Australian artists who have demonstrated talent and achievement in traditional styles. The Art Prize is intended to encourage, support and advance classical training of emerging artists at any stage of life, who are pursuing the study and practice of traditional art and who desire to study the works of old masters.
