Next ARC Scholarship Competition

We know it has been a very challenging year. We know that many of our schools have been forced to close their doors for extended periods and many have had to transition to alternate methods of instruction. However, we feel it is important to try and regain some normalcy. Entries to our next ARC Scholarship Competition will be received from May 1, 2021 through May 31, 2021 where the Art Renewal Center will once again give out $30,000 in scholarships to students attending ARC Approved Schools.
Scholarship applications will be received through our online entry system throughout the month of May. Entry is free.
The full prospectus will become available on May 1. Materials required to enter include: images of a minimum of 10 works of art, a biography, CV, a 250 word essay about why atelier training is important to the applicant and future career goals, and 3 letters of recommendation (one should be from a current or recent art instructor who the applicant has studied with.)
Women Painting (All over the world)

On March 8, coinciding with International Women's Day, the MEAM will once again claim the importance of women in the world of contemporary art and culture, through the exhibition 'Women Painting (All over the world) '.
The sample includes 87 works, between painting and drawing, by more than 78 women artists of various origins from 25 different nationalities, such as the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Spain, Norway, Italy, Ireland, Germany, France, Holland, Russia, Egypt, Mexico, Panama, Venezuela or Chile, among others.
ARC Associate Living Masters Arina Gordienko, Elizabeth Barden, Jaq Grantford, Vicki Sullivan and ARC Living Masters Anna Wypych and Patricia Watwood will be exhibiting.
The exhibition runs from March 8 - May 2, 2021 at the MEAM Museum, 5 Carrer de la Barra de Ferro, Barcelona, Spain.

Beautiful Things

Beautiful Things is a hauntingly elegant group exhibition featuring landscape, florals, wildlife and more. This exhibition features things classically considered aesthetically pleasing, yet thumbs the line with the adage that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. ARC Living Master Louis Alvarez Roure is among the exhibiting artists.
The show takes place from March 3 - April 10, 2021 at the Stone Sparrow, 45 Greenwich Avenue, New York, NY, 10014.

Texas Masters

New ARC Associate Living Master

ARC is please to welcome Anastasiya Chybireva Fender as a new ARC Associate Living Master!
Anastasiya was born in Ukraine and immigrated with her parents to the US when she was fourteen. She started drawing and painting in her early childhood and received figure-based atelier training growing up. Anastasiya’s meandering path in visual arts educational took her through the rigors of earning Bachelor's and Master's degrees in architecture from The Cooper Union and University of Texas at Arlington, respectively. The combination of architectural training, the purity of realism and strong personal narrative define Anastasiya’s work today.

An emerging artist from Australia’s Sunshine Coast, Jess is primarily a figurative oil painter.
She is also the principal and founder of Art School Co, a private art school that has over 500 weekly students.

Benefit Auction - Stone Sparrow NYC

ARC Living Master Luis Alvarez Roure will be participating in a benefit auction to raise money for the homeless and will donate a percentage of the auction’s proceeds to Habitat for Humanity.

"I am inspired by nature to create a visual language to communicate with the world around me. My early interest in nature matured to an absolute admiration for one of nature’s most beautiful creations, the human figure. My work looks back through the history of sculptural forms and engages contemporary art themes and my relationship to the figure today."

Goya's Graphic Imagination

This exhibition will explore Goya's graphic imagination and how his drawings and prints allowed him to share his complex ideas and respond to the turbulent social and political changes occurring in the world around him. The broadly chronological presentation will follow Goya's evolution and different phases as a graphic artist as well as his approaches to his subjects. Around one hundred works on display will come mainly from the Metropolitan Museum of Art collection—one of the most outstanding collections of Goya's drawings and prints outside of Spain; with other works coming from New York, Boston, the Madrid’s Museo Nacional del Prado and the Biblioteca Nacional.

Radical Botanicals
