The Rossettis

The work of Pre-Raphaelite founder Dante Gabriel Rossetti, alongside that of his wife, artist Elizabeth Siddal, and his siblings, writers Christina and William Michael Rossetti, are the subject of this major international exhibition organized in partnership with Tate Britain.
The Rossettis presents celebrated Delaware Art Museum paintings by Dante Gabriel Rossetti, such as “Found” and “Lady Lilith”, contextualized among masterpieces from the Tate’s collection and loans from public and private collections worldwide. The show will include Rossetti’s outstanding early and late paintings, watercolors, photographs, and design, and major drawings by Siddal. This exhibition marks the first time this material will be assembled and displayed in the United States.
The exhibition runs from October 21, 2023 – January 28, 2024 at the Delaware Art Museum, 2301 Kentmere Pkwy, Wilmington, DE 19806.

Landscape of Polish Painting

The "Landscape of Polish Painting" exhibition will present works ranging from recognized classics of contemporary art to works by the most interesting young artists. The participating painters represent all the major artistic universities, art centers, and cultural communities in Poland. Over 200 pieces created by 140 painters representing all current art movements, from realism and figurative to abstract non-objective art and objects will be on view. ARC Living Master Anna Wypych will be participating with two of her paintings.
The exhibition runs from November 17, 2023 – February 25, 2024 at Zacheta – National Gallery of Art, 3 plac Stanislawa Malachowskiego, Warsaw, 00-063, Poland.

ARC is pleased to welcome Joseph Bellofatto as a new ARC Living Artist℠!
Joseph Bellofatto is a fine artist who works primarily in oils and graphite and currently resides in the Raleigh, North Carolina metro area. He started out doing illustration work but the later moved to crafting his own ideas by shifting to fine art. In between, he briefly worked as a graphic designer. His work is primarily that of 'imaginative realism' (heroic/romantic fantasy and various mythological themes) and over the past decade his work has appeared in art galleries across the continental US.

Chuckie's Grand Adventure

From Pencil to Burin. Drawings for Printmaking in Goya's Day

This exhibition presents a survey of drawings made in the 18th and 19th centuries as preparatory designs for copperplate engravings, emphasizing and highlighting both their functional and artistic importance.
The exhibition includes works by a number of artists but the principal focus is on two key figures in the development of the art of engraving: Manuel Salvador Carmona (1734-1820), an artist possessed of the greatest technical command of engraving in Spain and Francisco de Goya (1746-1828), whose remarkable artistic powers and particular understanding of etching opened up new directions in the creation of engravings.
The works will be on view at the Museo del Prado, Paseo del Prado, 28014, Madrid Spain from October 17, 2023 – January 14, 2024.

Holbein at the Tudor Court

Hans Holbein was one of the most talented artists of the 16th century. From his arrival in England in search of work he rose to royal favor, chosen to paint the portraits of Henry VIII, his family and leading figures, among them Anne Boleyn and Sir Thomas More. By his death, Holbein’s work was as admired by his contemporaries as it is today. His portraits inspired the next generation of artists in their depictions of Edward VI, Mary I and Elizabeth I.
This exhibition showcases one of the most important surviving collections of his work, and includes drawings, paintings, miniatures and book illustrations. Celebrating Holbein’s artistic skill, it explores the career of the artist and the lives of those who commissioned portraits from him, bringing us face-to-face with some of the most famous people of 16th-century England.

Spirit and Invention: Drawings by Giambattista and Domenico Tiepolo

The Morgan is home to one of the world’s largest and most important collections of drawings by Giambattista Tiepolo and his eldest son Domenico, with more than 300 representative examples of their lively invention and masterful techniques. Combining highlights from the Morgan’s collection with carefully selected loans, this exhibition will provide a comprehensive look at the Tiepolos’ work as draftsmen, focusing on the role of drawing in their creative process and the distinct physical and stylistic properties of their graphic work.

American Artists Professional League's 95th Grand National Exhibition

The American Artist Professional League will be holding their 95th Grand National Exhibition at the Salmagundi Club in NYC. Each artwork is selected for its beauty, quality, and value, and will represent some of the most talented artists in the country. The Grand National Exhibition will be open to the public for three weeks, giving everyone ample opportunity to attend and appreciate the artwork on display.
A selection of the artwork will be available for purchase providing a unique opportunity to acquire masterful representational or realist fine art painting, drawing, and sculpture.
The exhibition runs from November 6 – 24, 2023 at the Salmagundi Club, 47 5th Ave at 12th Street, New York, NY 10003. Turner and Bonington: Watercolors from the Wallace Collection

The Wallace Collection will be exhibiting watercolor landscapes by J.M.W. Turner and Richard Parkes Bonington that have not been on public view for 17 years. The display brings together ten works by the two artists, with four views of Yorkshire by Turner and five scenes of Normandy and Venice by Bonington.
The scenes depicted range from the rugged Yorkshire Dales to the grandeur of Venice, pausing en route to enjoy the bucolic delights of crab fishing on Scarborough’s beach and to marvel at the gothic splendor of Rouen cathedral from the dockside.
The exhibition will be on view from September 4, 2023 – April 21, 2024 at the Wallace Collection, Manchester Square, London W1U 3BN, UK.

500 Years of Italian Drawings from the Princeton University Art Museum

This exhibition showcases 95 works from the late fifteenth to early twentieth centuries by numerous artists including Parmigianino, Guercino, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, and Giovanni Battista Tiepolo.
"500 Years of Italian Drawings" explores topics such as technique, artistic education, experimentation, and the pivotal role played by drawing in the creative process.
The exhibition takes place at the Ringling Museum, 5401 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota, FL 34234 from October 14, 2023 – January 21, 2024.

Juliette Aristides & Alan LeQuire: The Figure in Charcoal & Terra Cotta

Celebrate the lines, curves and complexities of the human form with new drawings by ARC Living Master Juliette Aristides and incredible terra cotta sculptures by Alan LeQuire. LeQuire, the creator of the monumental Athena Parthenos for the Parthenon in Nashville, is one of Tennessee’s most iconic sculptors. Aristides is an accomplished Seattle-based artist who seeks to understand and convey the human spirit through her work.
