Destroying modern art

From Fred Ross

Please stop and think just how much reason and common sense has to be removed from human intelligence and behavior to believe that this [Mark Rothko's Erased DeKooning] is anything worth while to have done.

It would be a pathetic subject worthy of psychological analysis were it not actually given credibility by a powerful element of the art establishment.

So instead it falls into the domain of a pathetic sociological phenomenon, when a culture is so rich and so bored that they need to make up meaningless, inane and asinine concepts that they praise each other for having and doing.

And these people call Bouguereau's work inane?
