Fred, David Leffel and his disciples do this too. Walking into his classroom is like walking into a movie theatre. There is much discussion about chroma ratings of lights their temperatures etc on portrait artist forums. It's discussed very deeply. I personally feel that the end of the spectrum where the blues and purples fall are better with natural north light. That's the only draw back to 6,000k rated fluorescent lights that I see. Paintings done in a dungeon can hold shocking surprises when they are exposed to strong light... seldom good. A work like Carnation, Lily, lily, Rose done outside and holds up well inside.
