On the general subject of university change

I’ll back up Brian’s comments.

But I must say from my own experience, that the amount of Herculean work and effort needed to perhaps glean the tiniest of changes, makes it clearly inefficient to effectuate change from within a rotting structure. By the time you shore up on corner of the establishment, the rest will fall apart around you.

But….. I hope I’m wrong.

Actually I believe that our success from outside the system will bring increasing pressure to bear that may in fact change the system for the better. They’ll need to change in order to survive our competition.

It will probably happen by bringing in embedded autonomous ateliers that are insulated against control from the current art departments in some fashion.
