I must tell you Mark that I have heard that same description no less than 15 times from people describing how they felt when they viewed their first William Bouguereau painting. It's exactly what happened to me in October, 1977 when I ran into his Nymphs and Satyr at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Mass.
