Jeanine Browning: As an art student working on her BFA at a top 15 art school and in my final year of classes I am appalled at what isn't being taught at our universities. [...]

Mani Deli: So why did you stay there so long?

Primarily to get my BFA, so that I might apply for a MFA program. I am interested in teaching college art and working to change how it is being taught within the university system. Change has to come from within the system. I've been teaching life drawing at a local community college and unlike the university professors I have been covering anatomy and how to look for surface landmarks and more importantly how to set them up and draw them correctly. The difference in how quickly the students progress who get this level of anatomy as opposed to those that don't is amazing.
