Dear Fred Ross,

I am a student at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. I had applied to study there in order to really learn how to paint. What I mean is that I had gone there to learn the clasical techniques in painting. My first year there was very discouraging; they offered not what they advertise but something quite different. I would have thought myself crazy if I had not found the Art Renewal Center and its message. Luckily I was mentored by Patrick Conners who is a painter and contributer to American Arts Quarterly. I was also mentored by Philadelphia's last chance out of hell.... Anthony Visco. Your group's messege is inspiring to many.
