Letter to ARC

Dear Fred, Paul, Et Al,

First off, please let me say what a pleasure and, indeed, boon, it has been and continues to be to be associated with the ARC.

For about a year or so, I was completely outraged by the whole Hockney thing. I know what I do. I know what others do. I'm kind of beyond all that now. I just love doing what I do, teaching what I love to teach, and looking at and learning from masters - past and present.

If others want to waste their time - fine.

Hockney, the glib celebrity, was only giving me ulcers (perhaps his goal?), and I just had to let it go and move on. The last time I thought of him when I was in the dentist's chair receiving a painful drilling ...

That being said, I came across this article which I just had to send along. I'm sure you're already aware of it, but, to those who did not aware of it, I thought it was worth sharing.

The apogee of modernism is ... A CHIMP!!!!!

HOW D'YA LIKE THEM APPLES, HOCKNEY????

Many thanks and have a great summer!

Cheers!
John
