Graphic Design Student

Dear ARC,

I am a second year Graphic Design student at a local college in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Most of our instructors come from the USA. To say that I am unsatisfied with the standard of education at my college is an understatement. I had almost lost complete hope in the art world, as we are fed the usual art community BS for 9 hours a day with no real instruction on mastering techniques , figure studies, etc. Our instructors come from the school of David Hockney and the like and it is frustrating to hear them go on and on everyday about how realism can never be achieved, and seeing my classmates buy into it. Now I have something to answer back with.

Thank you for this wonderful website. Keep up the good work.
