Letter to ARC

Published before 2005

To whom it may concern:

Over the years exceptionally realistic artwork has been locked away in storage or lost, while people like Pollack and Picasso have been receiving unjustifiable praise. The mark being made in the history books about art in the 20th and 21st centuries is disgraceful. I hope that by contributing financially to ARC, as well as through my own artwork we will be leaving a better legacy for future generations.

I discovered Art Renewal Center recently while searching the web for a place to study art since I do not believe in the practices taught in art at the universities. I am a self-taught artist trying to learn all that I can about making my artwork better. I have participated in several art shows, walking away empty handed while noticing abstract paintings with award ribbons. Even told self-taught is nothing more than "hobbyist" by the educated elite (i.e. BFA graduates).

Membership to your organization is a priority on my "To Do List" because I truly believe in what you are saying.
