Freelance illustrator 1974-2002 working mainly in publishing, painted 484 book jacket covers for most UK and USA publishers. Monograph of my illustration work \u0022Mark Harrison\u0027s Dreamlands\u0022 published by Dragon\u0027s World in 1990 in the UK. Strong connections made with USA collectors from 1987 by attending conventions in the USA. Quit illustration 2005 to paint personal work for sale in UK fine art galleries with work exhibited in Medici Gallery Cork Street London as well as other central London galleries including the Mall Galleries where I had many paintings accepted tor juried shows such as The Royal Institute of Oil Painters, The Royal Society of British Artists and The Pastel Society. Actually started painting personal work in 1984 that reflected a strong interest in SE Asian art particularly Balinese after first visiting the island in 1986. Looking for a softer style than my hard edge illustration paintings I moved to chalk pastels and then oils which I have painted with ever since.\u003C/p\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003EA chance meeting in 2013 led me to regularly exhibit my work at the Illuxcon (now IX) art fair held in Allentown and Reading PA every year which led to reacquainting myself with collectors and artists who I hadn\u0027t seen in twenty years. This led to me painting many works in the Imaginative Realism category alongside my work as a fine art landscape/cityscape painter. I have been based in Brighton UK since 1986 and sell many paintings worldwide through social media and contacts made in the IX community. For my landscapes and cityscapes my work is represented in the USA by Abend Gallery Denver CO.
