Safe Hands, Portrait of Brett Sutton, Chief Health Officer of Victoria

I was so grateful that Australia responded with a health priority when the pandemic began.
 It was an honour to paint Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton, the man who was able to bring our lives back to a state of living without total fear. Knowing he would put settings in place to stop the spread of the virus was comforting and helped me manage anxiety.
I felt when making this painting that it will be part of history. Hopefully when Covid is not a huge concern we will look back upon this time and remember people who made a difference.
