The Festival Forma Vera will be bringing together the great traditions of the Atelier and Christian, classical education.

Participants will engage with the history and philosophy of atelier training relating to and supporting holistic, classical education. Participants will receive classical drawing training in a workshop with Juliette Artistides. Participants will learn how to implement or advance an atelier-style visual art program within their own school or homeschool.

Saturday, March 14th

9:00 a.m.

Drawing Workshop with Juliette Aristides

Juliette will be teaching from her book "Beginning Drawing Atelier". A signed copy of the book is included with registration.

12:30 Fellowship Lunch

1:30 Presentation on atelier training in the context of Christian, classical education by SCA Dean of Visual Arts Holly Davis and SCA Founder and Director Sandra Lawson.

3:30 Reception, Closing Ceremony

Sayers Classical Academy is the first classical education program in the world to have an atelier art program approved by the Art Renewal Center, with an atelier-style curriculum implemented for all students in grades K-12. We believe all human beings are endowed by God with creative gifts, and enabled with the ability to learn to express these gifts in a highly skillful and knowledgeable manner. We believe that together, the great traditions of Christian, classical education and atelier training, best informs and nurtures these gifts in all mankind.
