In this 2 day workshop, students will explore drawing a long pose portrait through a subtractive drawing process. Over the course of these 2 days, students will learn how to develop a carefully rendered portrait in graphite or charcoal through demonstration, lecture and critique by Jessica. There will be discussions on how to use the structure and proportion of the skull, render form, and the properties of light to obtain the likeness of the model.  Reference to the skeleton and master works will be made to elevate our conceptual understanding of the portrait.
