The Nordic portrait competition is organized by the National History Museum in Denmark and a selection of the works have been shown at Frederiksborgs Slott in Hillerød this summer and will only be displayed at the Ljungberg Museum. And so it has been since its inception in 2007!
Once again, the Ljungberg Museum's director has been part of the international jury, with representatives from the Scottish National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery London, Fabergé Museum St. Petersburg, Reykjavik Art Museum and National History Museum.
The exhibition opens on Saturday, September 7 at 2 pm by Mette Skougaard, Museum Director of the National History Museum.
