477 Main Street, Beacon, NY

March 2 through April 14, 2024

Opening and Awards Reception Saturday, March 2nd, 1-3 pm. RSVP requested.

Held in a 19th century library nestled in the quaint town of Beacon, in the heart of the Hudson River Valley, "Realism on the Hudson" is a carefully curated small works show featuring an array of contemporary realist paintings and drawings that range from landscapes and still lifes, to figurative compositions.

The exhibition aims to make accessible contemporary art, encouraging collectors to take home their purchases immediately, with a diverse collection of modestly sized masterpieces.

The Opening & Awards Reception, Saturday afternoon, 2 March, is open to all. All artwork is for sale at the show and online during the show dates in the AAPLinc.org/artwork-store. The show is on display on two floors of the Howland Cultural Center’s Northcutt Hall Gallery.

The Howland Cultural Center is in Beacon, about 60 miles north of New York City, and has gained a reputation as an artsy community, with numerous galleries, studios, and art events throughout the year.
