Drawn from seven curatorial departments at The Met and supplemented by a selection of private collection loans, Public Parks, Private Gardens: Paris to Provence features some 150 works by more than 70 artists, spanning the late eighteenth through early twentieth century.

Rembrandt and the Inspiration of India
Published on March 15, 2018
Rembrandt created a series of unusually meticulous drawings depicting emperors and courtiers from Mughal India. This exhibition explores 20 of the Dutch master’s careful studies of imperial Mughal portraiture and places them within a broader circuit of cross-cultural exchanges. By juxtaposing Rembrandt’s drawings with Indian paintings of similar compositions—and pairing Mughal artworks with European prints that inspired them—fascinating stories unfold about the flow of art and ideas across time and oceans.
The exhibition is being held at the J. Paul Getty Museum located on 1200 Getty Center Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90049 and runs from 3/13 - 6/24/18.

March 12, 2018
ARC is pleased to welcome Robbie Fitzpatrick as our newest ARC Living Artist!
"It has been a road of many curves and corners that has led me to watercolor. Along those bends, I kept turning to art...
With a 'small' nudge from my husband, I re-considered the direction of my art...There ensued a torrent of pencil drawings. Still, wanting more and loving color, I reached for watercolor pigment, and the simplicity of black and white was transformed into the transparent colors of watercolor."
